Delete your Cleanova account
This page is the public way to delete a Cleanova account and the data that goes with it. You do not need the app installed. You can delete it yourself in the app, or send a request from here.
The app and the developer
Cleanova is an app provided by CLEANOVA APP LTD, company number 17545510, registered in England and Wales.
Delete it in the app
Sign in to Cleanova. The button is called “Delete my account” when the app is in English; if you selected another language, the button is shown in that language. It is at the bottom of the screen named below, and also on the screen you see if access is blocked.
In the app, deletion happens immediately after you confirm with the password you use to sign in. It cannot be undone.
If you registered the company (administrator)
- Open Cleanova and sign in.
- Open Settings.
- At the bottom, choose Delete my account.
- Type the company name exactly, enter your password, and confirm.
This deletes the whole company.
If you are a client
- Open Cleanova and sign in.
- Open Profile.
- Choose Delete my account, enter your password, and confirm.
This deletes only your login.
If you are a cleaner on the team
- Open Cleanova and sign in.
- Open Profile.
- Choose Delete my account, enter your password, and confirm.
This deletes only your login.
If you are a supervisor
- Open Cleanova and sign in.
- Open My account, in the side menu.
- Choose Delete my account, enter your password, and confirm.
This deletes only your login. It does not delete the company.
Request deletion without the app
Send this form, or email hola@getcleanova.app from the email address on the account. Say that you want your Cleanova account deleted and, if you know it, the company name. The form does not delete the account by itself: it sends the request to Cleanova at hola@getcleanova.app. There is no set number of days for completing it.
Which data is deleted and which is kept
It depends on who asks. The process is the same one the app uses. Where the code does not set a deletion date, this page says so. It does not invent a period.
When the administrator deletes the company, this is deleted
- The company account.
- The sign-in accounts of the administrator, the team and the clients of that company.
- Clients, team, properties, schedule, services, messages (including voice notes stored in those conversations), requests, ratings, referrals and enquiries that came in through that company’s website.
- Time-clock records and time off.
- Photos and other files stored for that company (profile photos, website images and service photos).
- That company’s page on Cleanova and the link to a custom domain.
- The contract stored for that company, the private billing record and the Stripe identifiers Cleanova stores.
- Invoices Cleanova issued that were never collected.
- The subscription is cancelled at that moment, so it stops being charged.
When the administrator deletes the company, this is kept
- Invoices Cleanova has already collected, as accounting records. The account email on those invoices is removed. The company name, invoice number, amount, currency, period and dates are not removed. This process does not set a date on which those invoices are deleted.
- An internal activity note. Its text can include the administrator’s email address. This process does not set a date on which that note is deleted.
- The customer record Stripe holds. Cleanova cancels the subscription and deletes its own copy of the Stripe identifiers. This process does not delete the customer record at Stripe, and it does not say how long Stripe keeps it.
- The purchase of a domain name, if one was bought for the company website: that purchase is not cancelled.
- Records that are not part of the company account (for example a sales enquiry stored separately). This process does not delete them and does not set a retention period for them.
When a client, cleaner or supervisor deletes only their login, this is deleted
- Their sign-in.
- Their user profile in Cleanova.
In that case, this is kept
- What the company holds about that person: their client or team profile, the schedule, messages, photos and the rest of the company data. Those stay with the company.
- The push-notification registration stored for that login. This step does not delete it.
- An internal activity note that can include their email address, their role and the company. This process does not set a date on which that note is deleted.
The request you send from this page (email, name, company and message) is kept so it can be carried out. This process does not set a date on which that request is deleted.
